The relevance of executing the technological controlling of construction materials is increasing in importance in many civil engineering areas, including edifications free of construction pathologies and with good durability. The alkali-aggregate reaction has several modalities of concrete deterioration that punishes not only the edification, but also the scientists that intend to learn about your sources too. The technicians that try to mitigate the reaction deteriorations suffer too, all of it because many authors consider it unchangeable and irreversible. Nowadays there are many norms and tests around the world about this pathology control and mitigation. The objective of this paperwork was to compile information about this thematic, the principal causes of alkali-aggregate concrete deterioration and about their mechanisms, so also was made a potential alkali-aggregate reactivity test of three quarries that supply Campo Mourão - PR and its region. These tests did following the ABNT NBR 15577-4 normative. It also evaluated the samples expansions primordial causes and their diseases mechanism. The end suggested a few attitudes to reduce this pathology. |
