The energy efficiency study in the construction is the result of the concerns with the incidence of the industrial activities in the urban and rural environmental systems; characteristics of a developing country. Thus, the Eletric Energy Preservation National Program arises in Brazil with the goal of regulating and creating technical standards that promote the application of measures to reduce the eletric energy consumption in public and residential buildings. In this work it is used the Technical Regulation of Commercial Services and Public Buildings Energy Efficiency Level Quality (RTQ-C, 2013), created by PROCEL. For this work the Municipal Library was classified, in general, as C level. This result was obtained from the analysis of covering, lighting and air conditioning systems of the building. The analysis of the environment enables us to conclude that the building is not eficiente according to the RTQ-C parameters, howerer, one-off measures such as changing the material used in the roof and increasing the natural lighting in the administrative offices would provide improvement regarding the reduction of electrical energy consumption that currently does not satisfy the requirements. |
