This paper presents a study on containers, highlighting their key features and the characteristics of their use in construction. The reuse of containers is consistent with the current emphasis on sustainability, because this construction method, in addition to the reuse of a widely available material, reduces the consumption of non-renewable materials such as water and sand. Its geometry is favorable to the modular and flexible architecture, allowing the construction time and costs are reduced compared to traditional methods, and makes it easier to adapt its design to the individuality of each user. The specificities of the execution of buildings using containers were understood through literature, case studies of parallel works and a technical visit. |
