This work aimed to analyse the influence of coarse aggregates particles size in mechanical and rheological properties of high performance concrete with silica fume and superplasticizer. The aggregates were classified using sieve analysis and grading curves. Therefore, three types of concrete were analysed, which one with a different mix of coarse aggregate gradation, through compressive strength and modulus of elasticity test according to ABNT NBR 8522 (2008) and the workability of concrete, based on the slump test according to ABNT NBR 67 (1998). The compressive strength test evidences that high performance concrete with basaltic crushed stone with nominal size smaller than 9,5 mm has presented higher compression strength. On the other hand, the elasticity modules were not affected by the variation of particles size proportion. Also, slump higher than 220 mm were achieved, however the concrete spreading indicates that this type of test was not recommended for this specimen of concrete. |
