Resumo: The Engineered Wood Products (EWP) have been rising in the Brazilian market of construction. This technology combines low specific weight, high strength and quality control. The I-Joists are an example of EWP and largely used in North America, Europe and Japan - they consist of upper and lower flanges of lumber and the web made of OSB. This paper presents an assessment of the structural behavior focusing on the beam displacements of I-Joists PRI 60 standard, six beams were evaluated using different models. Four different models are compared as follows, analytical model by Principle of Virtual Work (PVT), analytical model by Rancourt, numerical model by Finite Elements Method (FEM) and experimental results provided by the literature. Both analytical models and numerical have satisfactory results when compared with the results of the experimental model, being the analytical model by Rancourt the most indicated for standardization, due to its practicality.
