The increasing technological demand required by the poultry farming activity also implies in a greater attention to the relevant environmental aspects such as, water consumption, electrical energy, solid waste generation and effluents, in accordance to the environmental protection legislation. This paper had as its objective to make an evaluation about the environmental impacts generated by an egg-producing poultry located in the city of Roncador, state of Paraná. For the evaluation, the methodology developed by Moreira (2013) and Seiffert (2010) was used. Through technical visits, accompanied by a representative of the business manager, eight aspects were listed, of which three resulted in negligible impacts, one as moderate and four as critical. In relation to the negligible ones, the operational routine was maintained, for the moderates, improvements were proposed, and regarding to the critical aspects, proposals of operational changes and investments were presented. Despite the adoption of such measures, it was also suggested to follow the Good Manufacturing Practices Manual, as well as to comply with the NBR ISO 14001: 2015 and to prepare a Solid Waste Management Plan. Thus, it is concluded by the adoption from the business part, of preventive and non-reactive measures to environmental issues. |
