This study aimed to carry out the environmental assessment of the laboratories of the Federal Technological University of Paraná (UTFPR) campus Campo Mourãoo, as a tool for the preparation of an environmental management model. The methodology is divided into two stages, the first is the exploratory survey, which aims to guide the work and another step that consists in carrying out the environmental assessment that focuses on collecting data through interviews and laboratories still application of the methodology of environmental impact assessment proposed by Moreira (2001), Assumption (2004) and Seiffert (2006). The results indicate that the diagnostic laboratories generate impacts not considered critical, but there are moderate impacts which are mostly related environmental aspects arising from energy consumption, water consumption, and waste generation biologics. Laboratories classified as more impactful from the environmental assessment, are laboratories for analytical chemistry, environmental sanitation, transport phenomena and laboratory support. It is expected that the environmental assessment of the laboratories of the University can assist in the development of later works, such as effective implementation plan for solid waste management, creation of a model of environmental management system, among others. |
