Resumo: This study aimed to compare the natural fertility of three different soils in the forest, and their permeability coefficient and textures. The Ultisol was collected in the region of Araruna - PR; Rhodic in the city of Campo Mourao - PR and Entisol near of Engenheiro Beltrão - PR. The plantation of black oats realized in four repetitions of different soil collection generated the fertility analysis and the data comparison made by using non-parametric test. The texture determination was by particle size and density tests (ABNT NBR 7181:1984) and the permeability coefficient through constant load tests, according to ABNT NBR 13929:1995. The results were higher fertility Entisol of medium texture, and intermediate permeability to other soils; lower fertility noted for Ultisol which also showed medium texture, but higher permeability; and Rhodic, very clayey and lower permeability, which showed no statistical difference in natural fertility compared to other soils. In general, it is noticed that, fertility is affected by physicochemical changes in the soil, and the texture and permeability factors are deeply connected to it.
