Resumo: This study aimed to evaluate the efficiency of using orange and green coconut as an alternative adsorbent to removal zinc of swine wastewater (SW). For it kinetic removal test batch system were performed. The adsorption kinetics results show a fast removal of zinc with great time around 10 and 30 minutes to orange peel and coconut biochars, respectively. The adsorption kinectics of green coconut biochar set the pseudo-first order kinetic model, however it was not possible to determine the kinetic model for orange biochar. The results demonstrate that biochars produce from orange peels and coconut has potential to removing heavy metals from swine wastewater.
