Resumo: Due to its intertropical location and characteristics of the electric system, Brazil presents positive conditions for the use of photovoltaic generation, where from government incentives through Normative Resolution No. 482 of 2012 and its improvement in Normative Resolution No. 687 of 2015, This renewable sector is undergoing expansion. This market is increasingly improved and efficient, but even with the large supply of equipment these values are considered high, so it is necessary to make a careful financial analysis that justifies the investment, considering the solar potential of the region and the costs of the project. From an environmental point of view, there is a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, the emission of particulate materials and the use of water to generate electricity. Thus, in this work a case study of the ongrid photovoltaic system installed in a rural area in the district of Piquirivaí - PR was carried out. Monthly energy generated in the venture that provide specialized services in industrial metallurgy that is located in the city of Campo Mourão - PR, using a source of electricity considered clean, renewable and inexhaustible presenting a low environmental impact. With this in mind, this work presents the photovoltaic equipment and fundamentals, synthesizes the design stages, installation and procedures for connection to the grid, also analyzes the economic viability, where data were collected through interviews and documents provided. cash flow and viability calculations using economic engineering formulas (NPV, IRR, payback and ROI), resulting in an IRR of 41% where it fits into the scenario corresponding to IRR> TMA, NPV at the end of the 25-year period was R $ 1,273,267.94, ROI of 28.88% and payback calculated for 3 years and 4 months for return on investment, where after analyzing these parameters It can be concluded that the use of on-grid photovoltaic system in this company has total economic viability in the current scenario.
