This work addresses the problem of automatic transcription of music sheet into tabs by means of bio-inspired computing algorithms, more specifically by using the ant colony algorithm. This problem has an exponential complexity that rises in complexity in funcion of the quantity of notes from the music being transcribed. It becomes even more complex when the algorithm’s running time is taken into account. One property that one wishes to minimize in the case of providing the developed tool for use by the public, as is the case in this project. The developed algorithm is made available in the form of a web service based on the REST architecture, developed together with a prototype client that demonstrates the possibilities of usage of this
