Resumo: This work presents the theoretical basis and mathematical models utilized in the project of power, characteristics about the working fluid, electrical and magnetic field, as well as the physical dimensions of a magnetohydrodynamics power generator that generates energy in direct current. Aiming to this, it is necessary to use physical concepts like Lorentz’s force, electrical and magnetic fields, the four Maxwell’s equations for electromagnetism and the fluid dynamics’ principles, studying since the fluid classification and flow conditions to advanced topics about that area. Computational results are presented in order to provide a parameter of comparison with experimental results obtained.
