Resumo: In this work it is proposed the detection of reflectors in ultrasonic images from the use of signals with phase modulation and the Pearson correlation. Conceptual studies are performed with respect to ultrasound, transducer arrays and imaging. Some techniques found in the literature are implemented from simulations in MATLAB®. Later, a method is proposed to increase the reliability in the detection of reflectors using the phase modulation and the correlation of the signals adapted to the already existing methods. Different values of signal-to-noise ratio are considered and the results are compared to empirical methods and others found in the literature review.
