Resumo: This work presents a finite element modeling and a parameters characterization of a Euler-Bernoulli beam. The inverse problem method was used, with optimization by Genetic Algorithm as to identify four independent parameters of the beam under study, Young’s modulus, density, and the two proportional damping coefficients. Both, numerical and experimental approaches were used, and a comparison between their results is presented, so the model can be validated.
