Resumo: Present in various spheres of industry and society, cooling cycles play an important role in improving production processes and improving life quality. To ensure the operation of this equipment is essential to have properly trained and qualified professionals who can be quickly inserted in the labor market in order to meet the different needs of the industry. With this goal in mind, this paper proposes the development and construction of a didactic bench that allows a first contact of young students seeking professional qualification in the area. The work includes the various criteria for selecting the components at the same time provides all the necessary components of didactic and organized, it is also performed the analysis of the thermodynamic cycle, and establishes a basis for the development of further work and educational improvements. The completion of course work was developed through a partnership with SENAI of Assai-PR as a continuation of the work developed by the student during the course of refrigeration and air conditioning from UTFPR-CP. The refrigeration cycle uses R-134a refrigerant gas, which has similar properties to the already discontinued R-12 gas, as it has a high potential for destruction of the ozone layer. The electrical structure is designed to allow control and change the operation of the components to simulate various failures necessary for the training of professionals in refrigeration at the same time protects the equipment against overload or improper operation. At the end of th project, satisfactory results were obtained for the efficiency and cooling capacity, along with a didactic interface easy to understand.
