The gas turbine is an important thermal machine, mainly utilized in transport applications due to it low weight/power ratio. But, they are also utilized in stationary power generation. The gas turbine operation principle is also utilized in turbochargers. However, these, the goal is use the exhaust gases to move a turbine that drive a compressor which will inject higher pressure air in combustion chamber, increasing the internal combustion engine efficiency. Therefore, is possible adapt a turbocharger to operate as a gas microturbine. This work intend instrument and analyze the operation of an available microturbine. |
