The purpose of this study is to provide the population of Colombo with adequate and accessible infrastructure for the adoption of collective and non-motorized modes of transport in both intra and intermunicipal scales, as a means of guaranteeing the right to the city. The study addresses the influence of the automobile on urban planning and the relationship between mobility and social exclusion. It also presents some case studies that will serve as a basis for the elaboration of guidelines to be implemented in the intervention areas. |
