Resumo: The objective of this research is to develop a Social Interest Housing project based on 3D printing and self-construction. It aims to explain the origins of the housing deficit and the models of residences suggested in Brazil and in the world, to understand its transformations after the First Industrial Revolution, comprehend the State and real estate market interventions, to analyze the concepts of 3D printing and the Open Source as the pillars of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and, finally, to discover how Architecture can fit into this new system. Case studies will be analyzed from the constructive method and the typology of the architectural plan to define the design guidelines that provide a comfortable and modest way for a low class Curitiba family.
