Resumo: From the literature review and case studies, was developed a research about existing campuses in Brazil and abroad, so as to provide basis to propose a transformation of the Ecoville UTFPR campus, located in Curitiba-PR. The necessity to create an university complex has increased due to implementation of ENEM-SISU system for admission of students at the university. It caused a great increase of students coming from Paraná and other states of Brazil to Curitiba. According to data from the Ministry of Education, 3,970 enrolled from SISU in the first half of 2013, 1,068 came from other states - equivalent to almost 27% of vacancies. With these data, was seen the need to create in the city a complex that supports student’s needs, which would result in a decrease of the current dropout rate, which today, according to the SESU (Seminar on Public evasion linked to Brazilian Universities) is 50% in federal universities. This alarming number is due mainly to the absence of a university campus that proportionate routine the lives of students, enabling quick access to search facilities, professors and efficient transportation to class. Improving this, the university experience would be approached to the existing system of North America and Europe Universities. In addition, the Ecoville campus location, which is on the south-western portion of the capital, a region occupied by very important universities in the city have no easy access or connection to outer trade and services, requiring the use of car or bus to any kind of necessity. The proposal of creating a complex infrastructure for the region, represent a gain not only for students, but also nearby residents and environment in general.
