The purpose of this research is to create a space that centralizes the art exhibition of Curitiba Biennial, besides assuming other cultural functions during and after the closing of the event. To reach this goal, the work comprises the understanding of the pavilion and its uses throughout history, especially in large exhibition events, in which it has become the main space for the presentations. In this sense, the main art biennials in the world and the way that they give function to the pavilions are analyzed. The Curitiba International Biennial is also analyzed from its materiality as one of the largest art events in Latin America, as well as its exhibition structure, which covers several urban spaces - such as museums, squares and other places of the city. This work also brings the case study of three pavilions and delimits the guidelines for the construction of the pavilion for Curitiba Biennial. O presente trabalho traz um recorte teórico sobre os pavilhões de arte e sua utilização em grandes eventos expositivos, como as Exposições Universais e as bienais de arte, como base para a proposta de criação de um pavilhão de exposição para a Bienal Internacional de Curitiba, evento que acontece a cada dois anos desde 1993 na capital paranaense. O intuito da pesquisa é criar um espaço que centralize as mostras da Bienal de Curitiba, além de assumir outras funções culturais durante e após o encerramento do evento. Para chegar a este fim, o trabalho compreende o entendimento do pavilhão e suas utilizações ao longo da história, principalmente em grandes eventos expositivos, nos quais ele se tornou o principal espaço para as exposições. Neste sentido, são analisadas as principais bienais de arte do mundo e a utilização que esses eventos, e as Exposições Mundiais, fazem - ou fizeram - dos pavilhões. A Bienal Internacional de Curitiba também é analisada a partir da sua materialidade como um dos maiores eventos de arte da América Latina, bem como sua estrutura expositiva, que abrange diversos espaços urbanos - como museus, praças e outros locais da cidade.
