This research uses the concepts of architectural restoration with a special focus on the reuse of buildings of historical interest, aimed at transitional housing, having as object of study the old Tassi Hotel, located in the central region of the city of Curitiba / PR. This work also seeks to study the emergence and importance of the Reception Houses in addition to their purpose, seeking to understand the needs of people living in the streets. The highest percentage of street people are concentrated in the Curitiba Regional Headquarters, but the number of places in overnight shelters is not sufficient to meet the demand of the region. Also in the central region of the city, we come across several buildings of interest of preservation abandoned by the lack of use. This work also presents the importance of giving adequate use to historic buildings as a means of preventing their deterioration. It can therefore be concluded that the restoration work of the former Hotel Tassi, with the proposal of a transitional housing, would bring benefits to the street population of the central region of the city of Curtiba. |
