Resumo: This work aims to develop the architectural project in the city of Curitiba, covering a student housing at Headquarters UTFPR, so that the university student spends develop not only teaching, research and extension, as well as leisure activities, recreation and culture . It starts with the study and analysis of Student Houses, from concept, historical, architectural typologies, implementation / spatial location and its physical qualities, as well as case studies of Brazilian and foreign student housing. Then carried out a study on the UTFPR own, since it was set up, going through all its development and expansion, presenting a chronological analysis and architectural design of each existing building throughout the campus. The following is a brief classification of buildings: this analysis provides tools for future decisions about which parts to keep and which disregarded where the residual space of the campus will be the new location for receiving the proposed intervention. Finally, the design specification guidelines based on considerations of each step performed previously and adotas to develop the draft of the Student House are presented. The program was previously defined by reference to the projects presented in the case study. The areas were determined from the required minimum areas and comfortable for such use of the new space.
