With a variety of programs that encourage students to move their cities to attend higher education, there was a large increase in demand for people who, despite going through the process of selection of Universities, are unable to support themselves away from family. The university houses are very common in Europe and the United States, however, in Brazil, there is a culture of constructing buildings specifically for this purpose, so many homes of students are improvised, usually adapted to receive residents. Furthermore, even though there are these houses, there is not sufficient amount of vacancies for students who need an affordable housing with while enrolled in the Higher Education. Specifically analyzing the case of Curitiba, where there is a visible growth of the city towards south-west being occupied by this region of great importance Universities, it is clear that the main university housing in the city are concentrated in the urban center, generating a waste of time and money that could be avoided if there was an option to nearest university housing of Education Institutions concerned. Besides being a gain for students, the construction of a building of this kind is beneficial not only for students but also for the environment, which will become busier, generating greater sense of security for those who transits of the outer boroughs town center. A partir a revisão da literatura e de estudos de caso, desenvolveu-se uma pesquisa referente às moradias universitárias oferecidas atualmente na cidade de Curitiba. Com uma diversidade de programas que incentivam estudantes a se mudarem de suas cidades para cursar o Ensino Superior, houve um grande aumento na demanda de pessoas que, apesar de passar pelos processos de seleção das Universidades, não têm condições de se sustentar longe da família. As moradias universitárias são muito comuns na Europa e nos Estados Unidos, porém, no Brasil, não há uma cultura de construir edificações especificamente para este fim, portanto muitas casas de estudantes são improvisadas, geralmente adaptadas para receber os moradores. Além disso, por mais que existam essas moradias, não há quantidade de vagas suficientes para os estudantes que precisar de uma habitação com custo acessível enquanto cursam o Ensino Superior. Analisando especificamente o caso de Curitiba, onde há um visível crescimento da cidade no sentido sul-oeste, sendo esta região ocupada por Universidades de grande importância, fica claro que as principais moradias universitárias da cidade estão concentradas no centro urbano, gerando um gasto de tempo e dinheiro que poderia ser evitado se houvesse uma opção de habitação universitária mais próxima das Instituições de Ensino em questão.
