This monograph studies the Chapecoense Football Association accident from the perspective of Crisis Management and Communication. The plane was on its way to Rionegro, Colombia, on November 28, 2016, when it crashed and killed dozens of people, including club employees. The airplane crash interrupted Chapecoense normal business and caused large-scale damage to the organization and its publics. A hypothesis was created assuming that a crisis was established in the institution. Using the concepts of Kathleen FearnBanks (2011) and Shrivastava (2006), the information obtained by F. de São Paulo was interpreted in order to prove the existence of a crisis. In the case of Chapecoense, was evidenced its responsibility, even though third parties were considered guilty. |
