Resumo: This work seeks to apply the knowledge acquired during Bachelor’s Program in Design in a project that searches, through Design Thinking methodology, to develop a system that propose ways to prevent the disappearance of children in Brazil, from the technology of app for smartphone. From the application of the methodology, it was possible to prototype, in a process of co-creation with the users, obtaining two ideas that were developed and presented, conceptually, the first one as a monitoring solution that through a series of ethical issues and project vision as a social innovation, that ended to be replaced by the second that is a system based in the use of two apps focused on preventive education. Those have a series of possible functionalities, thus generating two main apps, the first focused on the adult audience, formed by parents, responsible and other interested on the subject and the second focused on specially for children. The app that focus on the adult audience has the intention to propose in ways to guide parents or responsible on how to teach their children to remain safe upon third parties actions that represents a threat to the children, as to provide the creation of a virtual relationship network to exchange information and collective production of knowledge on the subject, allowing the continuous creation of solution between people pertaining in the network. The app focused on the children audience seeks, through educational games, present ways to teach how to care for themselves, avoiding their disappearance. For the elaboration of those contents and game development, it is proposed a multidisciplinary team, composed by teachers, psychological, security, developers, designers and all the community that is interested in the subject. The system sketches and all its ideation are part of this project, however, as a project of high complexity, for this work it was chosen to make an indentation, focusing on the children app, presenting its layout development of the main screens and characters. Due to the constant new beginnings after the prototyping and proposal validations, steps inherent of the Design Thinking tool, and to the personal and ethical conflicts, it wasn’t possible to develop all step with the deserved depth, so it is emphasized the need to continue this project and further development of the presented material. It is, however, this project as a record of the process, its difficulties, limits and reach of the applied tools.
