The motivating object of this research was the Cobogó, leaked element created in Brazil in the late 1920s. The project was based on the design process methodology proposed by Lobach (2000) which consists of four phases: preparation, generation, evaluation and implementation. In every step of the process was possible to detect the design possibilities compared to the existing products in the national market, which assisted in the conceptualization and definition of project requirements. From then there was the generation from which they were selected and produced the best alternative. The steps carried out for the development of alternatives have the manufacture of polystyrene models by the CNC machine, the manufacture of plaster molds, the production of parts by the casting process by gluing, burning and glazing of ceramic tiles. All steps were carried out in the Model laboratories of the Federal Technological University of Paraná and resulted in four modular ceramic pieces, to be used in construction of walls, among other possible adaptations. O presente projeto de pesquisa relata o que foi desenvolvido como Trabalho de Conclusão do Curso de Bacharelado em Design da Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná. O objeto motivador desta pesquisa foi o Cobogó, elemento vazado criado no Brasil no final da década de 1920. O projeto teve como base a metodologia de processo de design proposta por Löbach (2000) qual é constituído por quatro fases distintas: preparação, geração, avaliação e realização. A cada etapa do processo era possível detectar as possibilidades de design frente aos produtos existentes no mercado nacional, o que auxiliou na conceituação e definição dos requisitos do novo projeto. A partir dai realizou-se a geração de ideias de onde foram selecionadas e produzidas as melhores alternativas. As etapas realizadas para o desenvolvimento das alternativas foram: a confecção dos modelos em isopor por meio de uma máquina CNC, a confecção dos moldes de gesso, a produção das peças pelo processo de fundição ou colagem com barbotina, queimas e esmaltação das peças cerâmicas.
