This document, submitted as a Final Year Research Project of Bachelor in Design from the Federal University of Technology – Paraná, has the goal of presenting the process of development of the picturebook “Além da Floresta das Sombras”, a project based on the medieval fairy tale “Childe Rowland”, as told by Joseph Jacobs. It presents the picturebook as a whole, its historical aspects and social relevance. Then it describes each element that forms a book, as well as its process of production, focusing on the work of the designer and illustrator. Then, it describes the process of development of the book “Além da Floresta das Sombras”. The result of this research was the translation, adaptation, development of the illustrations, graphic design and production of two models of the book, containing 48 pages, printed by the method of digital printing on special paper. The book was then binded by Claudio Pilotto, from “Ateliê de Encadernação”. |
