Childhood is understood as a period of great importance for the child's social development. One of the strategies used to further develop this phase is through sports, for as organized physical activity is important both for the physical, motor, social and psychological children. One of the sports that favor these relationships is football. This study aimed to analyze the importance of football in the social development process of children participating in two private academies of sport initiation; It has also sought to verify the insertion of Football in everyday life of children and their influences for coexistence and respect in society. For this, we used a qualitative approach in which data collection was done by applying a semistructured questionnaire. This research was conducted with 12 participants in total, 10 parents and two coaches practitioners of the sport children. We used the Software Atlas.ti 7 to analyze qualitative data which generated a database with answers. Based on the data collected can be concluded that the practice of football is very important in the social development process of children, because the answers highlighted the important contribution that the practice has had on relations with others and with their own parents and coaches, where become more sociable, they have come to respect the rules better, to have more discipline, and go to have more fellowship with others, learn to manage the victories and defeats and to behave better. |
