Resumo: The adapted sport emerged as a prevention factor and physical rehabilitation, social and emotional after the Second World War, it is clear that with physical activity every individual, been handicap or not he show improvements in health, also used the adapted sport as a factor of social inclusion. About 14.5% of the population has some type of disability, among them appears the physically challenged. The wheelchair basketball was the first sports to be introduced in Brazil. This work characterized as a descriptive case study, has as objective to determine and avaluate the lifestyle and health perception in basketball players in wheelchairs. The sample consisted of 20 male practitioners of a team from Curitiba, where participants would have at least 6 months of practice, between the ages of 18 and 40. The evaluation was made by the questionnaires Fantastic Lifestyle and SF-36. For data analysis, all members have ratings of good, very good or excellent in the two questionnaires used, and no one rated into bad or very bad.
