This study consisted in an exploratory research regarding to inspection of construction and demolition waste focusing on small quantity generators. Due to lack of effective inspection, the waste generator can neglect practices as waste disposal, transport and final destination and the consequences of this acts are environmental impact, economic impact and social impact. The objective of this research was to analyze the actual inspection practices regarding to solid waste at Curitiba and suggesting inspection guidelines to develop this activity. The data collection was made by a bibliographic study, as well as interviews with public employees at the Municipal Government of Curitiba. The research has shown that the municipality of Curitiba inspects small quantity waste generators, however, there isn’t enough information about construction and demolition waste available for them.Besides that, the municipal government needs an integrated management system with focus on construction and demolition waste to control all information involved in this process. |
