Resumo: This research deals with a bridge widening project in the state of Paraná, expanded with prefabricated reinforced concrete beams and molded slab at the site. The work has an emphasis on the study and analysis of the stresses caused by the retraction and difference of concrete elastic module generated in the contact interface of an existing tray with the extended one. The evaluation of these properties of concrete appears as a question about the behavior of a structure that works over several years. Therefore, it was tried to evaluate the influence of the deformations and stresses caused by both properties during the aging of the concrete. In order to carry out this work, the finite element models were shaped with the properties and physical characteristics of the studied bridge, then the structure was loaded with a negative temperature for the simulation of retraction, finally the models were compiled and the results evaluated. In this way, the axial tensions generated at the interface of the slabs were analyzed, as well as the moments in them and the deformations of the structure. The study was carried out with the aid of the SAP2000 v.14
