Resumo: This Work seeks to contribute in the search of alternatives for the treatment of carbonated concretes, having its focus on applying chemical realkalisation in two different ways. The main goal is to analyze the effectiveness of different alkaline solutions using distinct application methods. It was used cylindrical concrete samples measuring 10x20 cm in this test. After carbonating the test samples, the realkalisation trial was carried out using foam layers soaked with solutions of Na2OH3, KOH, NaOH and Light Barrique 5%, with and without the use of protective plastic films, in two cycles of seven days, assessing in every carbonation and realkalisation stage the alteration in axial resistance and concrete absorption, as well as the effectiveness of those two processes by means of sprinkling phenolphthalein on the test samples’ surface. The analysis resulted in Light Barrique being the best realkalisation solution, presenting also the best cost-benefit.
