Resumo: |
This paper presents a study in which the addition of ground ceramic roof tile to the soil aims to improve the physical and mechanical aspects. In addition, it shows a new destination for the residues of these roof tiles, found in construction and / or demolition rubbles, or even leftovers materials from breaks in the manufacturing process. The evaluation was performed by comparing the results obtained for natural soil and for soil with four different levels of ground roof tile addition (2%, 5%, 10% and 15% of ground roof tile in relation to the weight of dry soil). The research presented an improvement in the physical parameter of the plasticity index. The main test used to obtain information on the mechanical parameters was the CBR test, which presented an increase in the index of 10% and 15%, with even less expansibility compared to pure soil. The results of the study demonstrate that it is possible to use the product of ground ceramic roof tile mixed with the soil to obtain an improvement in mechanical aspects for road use, as well as a new technology for waste disposal. |
