Resumo: Radon (222Rn) is the second most common cause of the world of lung cancer, behind cigarette, and, in non-smoking, is the main cause. Resulting from the uranium decay, element that is very much present in the soil, radon has as one of its isotopes 222Rn which is an isotope having a half-life of 3.8 days, which can be considered a long half-life compared with the other isotopes of radon. Having that permeability is one of the main factors that control the radon emanation in the soil, it is necessary to obtain values for the places where the buildings will be built, as well as the monitoring of radon levels above the recommended. This study aims to carry out radon measurements in soil at Headquarters Ecoville UTFPR, as well as obtaining the permeability of the chosen points.
