Noise polution caused by urban noise affects the life’s quality of people who live in big cities. Because of that, several researches related to methods of acoustic isolation are being conducted, leading to significant improvements in this área. Currently, a big tendency of the consumer is to look for products with lower noise or buildings that absorb unwanted sounds. Therefore, one of the biggest concerns of a residence’s buyer is the acoustic comfort that it provides. Defining new elements to upgrade the acoustic performance of buildings contributes to improve the quality of life for all the users. This study aims an analysis of the acoustic performance of medium density fiberboards and drywall in combination with rockwool and glasswool. The experiments were made in a controlled environment and the result shows a comparison between normative values and the tests outcomes. With the experimental and analytical results it was possible to verify the behavior of materials in the various measuring frequencies. The materials used have a good acoustic performance in relation to the acoustic performance by increasing the options of elements used in walls and partitions. Moreover, the working provides the possibility of further study, incorporating, for example, new elements in the systems tested. |
