The objective of this research is to perform the inspection and evaluation of existing pathologies in Special Pieces of Art, under the perspective of the new concrete bridges, viaducts and walkways inspection standard, NBR 9452: 2016, through the accomplishment of a case study in a bridge located in the city of Curitiba, thus determining the condition of the structure. Along that, it is intended to establish a parameter of comparison between the current and the old standard, pointing out their differences and improvements in the process. This study was based on assumptions previously studied, addressing the typologies of the SPAs, the most varied and common kinds of pathological manifestation and the inspection methods. For the case study, it was carried through in loco inspection, performance tests and mapping of found pathologies. Through the developed methodology, it was possible to identify unsatisfactory conditions in the studied construction and, at the same time, to notice a considerable improvement in the method of inspection and classification proposed by the new standard. This work may, in the future, serve as a basis for the therapeutic study of the SPA evaluated and, also, for new studies of prevention and diagnosis in other structures, avoiding the development of pathological manifestations and, thus, increasing the constructive quality, the structures durability and reducing future costs due to maintenance or service interruptions that these manifestations may cause. |
