The construction sector in Brazil has grown considerably in the past years. However, the construction methods used in this country are handcraft methods which do not use advanced construction technologies. Those methods require a longer time to execute certain functions. Therefore, this academic paper aims to analyze and compare both methods focusing on economic aspects such as productiveness, efficiency and costs. Through this comparison it is possible to conclude which one is more feasible to be used to construction of industrial facilities. To guarantee the reliability of the study, both methods are going to be compared by simulating the construction of common industrial shed. This study will also present a worldwide method used overseas, which is not commonly used in Brazil, increasing its acceptance and spreading its application. |
