Resumo: The fire detection in conventional residential systems works using simple techniques, but still very vulnerable to errors. In a very simplistic way, the process involves analyzing the amount of smoke in the air and if it exceeds a certain threshold, an audible alarm is triggered. In some cases, fire fighting groups are automatically triggered. Such systems are not suitable for homes whose people spend most of the time outside, because the alarms are usually audible or visual. Furthermore, the fragility of these systems make false alarms more frequent and may cause many damages. On the one hand the firefighters, who fail to meet the real fire cases, on the other, the responsable for the house that will probably have to pay a fine and even lose confidence in the system. In this work a more robust and less vulnerable to false alarms solution based on a multi-sensor remote system will be approached. The use of communication technologies provides the system increased ubiquity in its user interactions in addition to allow better control e customization from them.
