This project intent is a conventional residential lightning alternative, allowing the addressable LED control and modification using a smartphone application, a bluetooth receiver and a microcontroller. The system user has full device control, allowing pixel by pixel LED manipulation with different effects and colors. A market research was made to verify the project viability compared to other alternative products in the market. Then has been chosen to use a ARM CortexM4 microcontroller development kit, that receives data from a smartphone wireless application. By a comparison between wireless communication protocols, we have chosen the bluetooth technology. The projected system allows control of many characteristics from the smartphone application, granting the implementation of different operation ways involving weather, temperature, emotions, alarm, chronometer and other possibilities. Has been concluded that by the free mode implementation study it is possible to development countless modes related to color, brighting and displacement variations using the LED strip. |
