Resumo: The rectifiers are Power Electronics devices commonly used in daily life and in the industry. They are responsible for convert the alternate current (AC) into direct current (DC). Yet, either controlled or non-controlled rectifiers by traditional techniques present some disadvantages such as low input power factor, presence of current harmonics and oversizing of the power system. Aiming to reduce these disadvantages, many studies in the field of modulation techniques have been done in which the space vector modulation have stood out. This paper embraces the research, simulation and implementation of the Space Vector modulation technique – SVPWM, to control a two levels bidirectional boost rectifier. This technique is mainly oriented to applications with voltage source inverters – VSI, thus there is a need to adapt it for AC-DC converters. Some specific aspects of modulation techniques and converters topologies were analyzed. In order to establish the concepts, this work proposes the development of a bidirectional boost rectifier using a power drive and a microcontroller board. Once implemented, the obtained results and achieved objectives will be presented, as well as suggestions for future works.
