Automation has become a fundamental part of modern industry, providing competitiveness, quality, productivity and flexibility. This new era of greater demand and optimization of the productive process makes jobs and work stations that are not suitable for men, taking them to maximum effort, thus generating weariness and health problems. For this reason, the combination of automation and ergonomic studies provide efficient solutions, both in productivity and in the solution of inadequate work postures. This study aims the development of a machine designed to automate the production process of pie crusting of a confectionery. Project development follows the guidelines of recognized authors on product design development methodology such as Back and Rozenfeld. During the ergonomic study, postures that are prone to develop work-related diseases are posed, and possible solution alternatives are pointed out through the automation of the process. Finally, the possibility of developing the product will be evaluated, taking into account budgets, comparisons and fulfillment of customer requirements. |
