Resumo: This undergraduate thesis shows the development process of a wireless sensors network designed to measure temperature and relative humidity, two of the most relevant variables for meteorology researches. The equipment’s purpose is to be used in forestry academic researches at UFPR, in replacement for the datalogger currently in use, HOBO H08-003-02. To do so, a bibliographic review has been made, defining concepts and, from a market research, a list of possible replacements available for the same purpose. The Hardware was chosen so it could meet the specifications of the product, considering various components and technology options. Sub 1 GHz protocol was chosen to implement the wireless sensors networks and the software was developed using Contiki RTOS. With a working prototype, a series of tests has been accomplished. Primary tests were carried out to verify the operation of the equipment, followed by comparative tests between the prototype and the Datalogger mentioned for its validation.
