Resumo: This study aims to develop an electricity consumption measuring system in the residential sector to present monetary values based on the tariff system, the consumer, in the area covered by COPEL, in real time. After the completion of knowledge in the theory involved and existing smart meters began the development of the prototype. The prototype was implemented a case study for validation of their operation and were collected data to discuss the results. To make it possible to verify the results obtained in the prototype were correct, a series of measurements in other residential equipment was carried out, in order to make comparisons of the values found in the prototype with values obtained by certified and calibrated power meter provided by COPEL.
