This work presents a study of technical and economic feasibility of developing an electric hybrid vehicle that uses fuel like ethanol. It presents the models currently available in the Brazilian automotive market and its main constructive and performance characteristics as well as studies that measure and estimate the performance of ethanol when compared to gasoline. Presents an economic feasibility study based on historical fuel prices and characteristics of consumption, for both the conventional and the hybrid vehicle. At the end, it brings as a result a promising ethanol vehicle performance, but stresses that further work should be conducted in order to validate other models and design the vehicle itself. |
