This paper proposes a methodology of control system, applied to thermal plants, composed of two loops. In this context, studies were performed with a system of internal control loop, which always approximates the controlled plant to a Type 1 system (a pole at the origin). Then, with the adjustment of the proportional gain of external loop, it’s able to regulate the thermal plant closed-loop time response, and in addition we always have zero error. A rationale for thermal systems, PID and robust control is presented. Computer simulations using Matlab Simulink, of robust control system illustrates the feasibility and potential of this method. Finally, the robust control system was implemented in a programmable device, which showed good results in practice. |
