Resumo: This paper presents a study with practical results of the use from PID control algorithms in a pilot multiphase flow plant at the Technological Federal University of Paraná Thermal Sciences Laboratory. One also discusses solutions for the supervisory control through the LabVIEW software, which include automatic and manual PID controllers tuned by many methods over a network with FOUNDATION Fieldbus protocol. Moreover, it is complemented with project and assembly of two electronic printed circuit boards and one automation panel, which are responsible for the signal adequacy between supervisory system, controller and the final control elements. Finally it brings conclusions about the control and autotuning algorithms use for supervisory systems that operate in industrial networks.
