The present study aims the viability of the reuse of the rejected water, water that is discarded by the reverse osmosis treatment system. This is a process of purification usually used in hemodialysis clinics, but the process generates a big waste of this type of water. This study will evaluate the volume of water discarded by the reverse osmosis treatment system that is installed in a hemodialysis clinic in the city of Curitiba. For this clinic was foreseen the infrastructure necessary for the reuse of this type water on sidewalk cleaning and toilet flushing. In this case, it was possible to make the evaluation of the volume of water reused by the clinic in these actions. This research addresses, besides the volume of water, the quality of the rejected water. Samples were collected for analysis in internal and external laboratories. The study pursuit to explore the water treatment processes, quality parameters, besides present a point of view of the hemodialysis. This view was based in the historical study of the hemodialysis, not only in Brazil, but also since the first international experiments. Later, the research pursuit was the better adjustment for the reference of the analysis parameters. This parameters where chosen for the qualification of the sanitary degree of this water. From the reports generated by the internal and external laboratories, the study sought to establish the criteria for the reuse of this water. Finishing with an approach that seeks to identify new alternatives for the reuse of this rejected water. The results that followed, from the micro-biological and physicchemical view, has shown really satisfying, for the classification of the water in several procedures of reuse. Attending perfectly the four classes suggested by the NBR 13969/97. From the point of view of the use of the water, can be observed that the method of evaluation of the hygrometer presented a lecture 56% bigger than the estimated. This means that there is a waste of water in different sections of the clinic, as examples, in the reuse of the lines and the dialyzer filters. The procedure of the reuse of the lines and the dialyzer filters deserves a better evaluation of the times and methods applied in the execution of this task, seeking to patronize and rationalize also the use of the permeated water. |
