Resumo: Non saturated soils present relatively complex behavior and their standard is field of study of many geotechnical and geological professionals. This paper correlates parameters of a soil in Campinas / SP region in order to obtain the collapsibility classification of it. Some of the tested wells already had confirmation of the existence of collapsible soils and through the application of some collapsible soils identification criteria (pre-existing in the literature)was possible to obtain the determination of collapse occurrence possibility. The objective of this work is to analyze the efficiency of the criteria presented in the theoretical framework for the soil in question. It's possible to say that the studied criteria, in general, can't be applied to the studied region.
