Resumo: The present course conclusion work aims to analyze the physical characteristics – compressive strength, tensile strength and absorption – the concrete macro-defect free. A compound of cement, water and a water-soluble polymer, which in characteristic lacks the small voids found in conventional concrete, usually caused by entrained air. The research is based on comparisons made by Ekincioğlu et al (2008) and Santos (1997), who studied the concrete macro-defect free and their dependence of resistance for the presence of water. This base was determined that the polymer was the most suitable polyvinyl alcohol with a degree of hydrolysis of 87%. The moldings were hand in three different traits, realizing an increase in characteristics due to the presence of the additive even with the increase of the factor w/c, change in the kind of breakage when the modified polymer dosage and increase tensile strength of from 7 to 28 days. However, as stated by Santos (1997 ), it was not possible to get a concrete macro-defect free manually because all samples had inside small pores resulting air embedded .
