This research aims to study the mechanical characteristics of the materials of a selfsupporting system composed of two sheets of OSB and a core of EPS. It argues the need for rationalization of methods, processes and building systems. It presents concepts of comparative structural systems and materials used in the system in consideration. Through axial compression tests on composite and simple bending in the composite and OSB sheet, 52 specimens were broken, and in the end of the paper are the results of the analyzes and discussions. It brings as a result an analysis on the structural performance of the composite, considering the conditions which the assessment was conducted. |
